Rebecca R. Wayman, MD, FACOG

I am a native of Southern Illinois, but I have proudly called Kansas City home for the last 16 years. I have been happily married for 14 years, and my husband and I share a busy, joy-filled life with our four children and two dogs.

Outside of medicine I enjoy staying active with a newfound passion for triathlon, and I am proud to be nearing 500 classes at my local Pure Barre studio. I have been learning French for a few years now but this is still a work in progress!

I also enjoy musical theater and the ballet, but I spend the majority of my free time transporting my children to their various activities and sports practices.

My approach to care is rooted in respect, compassion, and collaboration. I believe in empowering my patients through education, open communication and personalized counseling, ensuring they have the knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about their health.

I am committed to creating a supportive environment where patients feel heard, valued, and involved in every step of their care. By embracing shared decision-making, I strive to partner with each patient to develop individualized care plans that reflect their values, preferences, and goals. Together, we can achieve optimal health outcomes while honoring the unique journey of every person I have the privilege to care for.

Area of Interest

My interests include preventive health and well-woman care, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (DaVinci Robotics and VNOTES), low and high risk obstetrics (twins and care of multiple gestations), abnormal uterine bleeding, uterine myomas (fibroids), menopause care and vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC).
