Will I know the cost of my care beforehand?
NKC Health can provide you with a good faith estimate in advance of your hospital services by using our price estimator tool.
Why did I receive multiple bills?
Your hospital bill includes charges for:
- Your room, nursing care, meals, housekeeping and linens
- Doctor-ordered services such as X-rays, laboratory tests, medical supplies and procedures
Your bill does not include charges for:
- Physician services, including but not limited to, surgeons, NICU specialists, radiologists and pain management specialists (pain clinic)
- Physician emergency services and physician anesthesia services, if required
You will receive a separate bill for the pain clinic and emergency services, and/or other healthcare services provided.
What are my payment options?
You can pay your NKC Health hospital bill in full or talk with us about our affordable financing options. NKC Health also offers financial assistance for those who qualify. Special arrangements can be made with the Medical Group clinics. Call Patient Financial Services at (816) 691-1100 to set up monthly payments.
