Great care as always I feel lucky to have her as my Doctor.
Dr. Winter is so nice and thoughtful. She asks how I’m are doing and my daughter, who is also her patient. She listens to what you are saying and addresses them. One by one. She doesn’t make me feel like she’s blowing me off. She comes up with treatments and other options if they don’t work.

This was my first time seeing Dr. Winter as my PCP. My family members have all been seeing her for a few years and had only good things to say about her. They were not exaggerating! She is absolutely wonderful. Very patient and thoughtful, makes casual conversation and doesn't just move through the visit ticking off boxes. I've been seeing her for several years. I'm the first skeptic when it comes to the medical field, but Winter meets you where you're at. She provides INFORMED CARE and stays longer than the 10 allotted minutes when you need to just get everything out. She gets to the point, but has great bedside manner. I've taken both young children with me and she is very accommodating. The last year or so, she has lessened her hours, so it's difficult to see her, but to me it's worth it.

My pcp of 24 years left Meritas. So I was stuck with trying to find a doctor who A-Takes patient’s Extensive medical hx seriously & B-Someone who actually Listens to the patient. Dr Winter is Horrible at both of those. I’m a ADN BSN RN, so I KNOW how essential it is to have a doctor that provides exceptional care, she is Not one of them. I’ve Survived sepsis 6 times. I get sick 2x, or more a yr, it’s landed me in the hospital. I was in the ICU 12 2022 for bilateral pneumonia post sinus infection for 1 month. I almost died from it. Initially I had hospital acquired pneumonia twice from TMC UH. I have asthma. Every single time I’ve been sick it ALWAYS turns into an infection. Dr Winters doesn’t believe in treating infections with antibiotics. She believes it’s ”Just a virus.” And no matter how many infections you’ve had, doesn’t take it seriously. The last time I saw her was December 2023. I caught the flu. 4 days later I had bronchits. She REFUSED to treat my infection, AGAIN.

Her medical assistant sat with me and reassured me until I calmed down. Dr. Winter took time to reassure me about the health concerns I had that triggered the panic attack, and explained everything in detail. So thankful for Dr. Winter and her staff.
I am new to the Kansas City area. He is always stressful finding new physicians in a new area. Doctor Winter is an excellent physician . I had my first appointment and she was on time and very thorough. She was not rushed and listened to me and any concerns I had. She will be my primary care physician and I am so happy to have found her.
She was so lovely and attentive! Her (and her nurses) seemed well versed in my medical history even though I was a first time patient for her. She addressed short term problems like vaccinations I could get that day and long term problems like long term problems my meds could cause.

Absolutely horrible. As a person with lung problems, I just got back from high altitudes for work and had an asthma attack. She said I had to come in. Denied refill. I got COVID o Dec. 2023 for the first time, and she would not fit me in for an appt. Had to go to urgent care and paid out of pocket for the COVID cocktail due to my asthma. STAY Away from Meritas!
Dr. Winter is very attentive and listens to your concerns. She explains your treatment plans to you and discusses options. I never feel rushed and my questions are always answered. The nursing staff are also welcoming and supportive.

I was so disappointed when my former doctor of many years left this group. She was amazing and my trust in her had grown so strong. She listens to me about my illnesses and she is very quick in writing a response when I email her on the portal with my questions. Only thing that has been hard is my insurance isn't covered. I will miss having her as my primary doctor when I move 😕

The Dr. Visit was fine and thorough. However, my prescriptions never got called in even after a follow up call from me. After my second call 3 days later, as a weekend was involved, I was able to talk with nurse who realized they had actually not been called in although I had been told on the previous call they were.
