Several organizations and publications have honored NKC Health and its leaders.

900 Award recipient
Online review and customer sentiment monitoring company Reputation honored NKC Health physicians with the 800 Award. The annual award highlights providers who go above and beyond to deliver quality patient care and respond to consumer feedback. Ian Rosbrugh, MD, with NKC Health Urogynecology, is the health system’s first 900 Award winner and one of 2,446 providers in the United States and 232 in Europe to receive the award.
Forbes included NKC Health on its list of America’s Best Midsize Employers for the third consecutive year. Our system is the only Kansas City-area healthcare provider on the list.
For the second consecutive year, NKC Health made Forbes Best Employers for Women list – one of just 49 hospitals recognized. Honored for leadership opportunities, pay equity and workplace inclusion, our system is the only Kansas City-area healthcare provider and one of just three hospitals in Missouri to earn the distinction.
The Kansas City Business Journal recognized NKC Health with the Healthiest Employer Award 2025 for the first time. The award highlights Kansas City-area organizations that are dedicated to promoting health and well-being in the workplace.
NKC Health is pleased to join the Mayo Clinic Care Network, becoming part of a worldwide network of independent healthcare systems with special access to Mayo Clinic’s expertise.
The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit focused on patient safety, gave NKC Health an “A” Hospital Safety Grade. This mark of distinction comes from the only hospital ratings program exclusively focused on addressing preventable medical errors, infections and injuries.
Newsweek included NKC Health on its list of America’s Best Maternity Hospitals for a third time. This honor recognizes the top 444 hospitals in the United States that provide exceptional maternity care, supporting patients through pregnancy, delivery and every step of the postpartum journey.
Castle Connolly recognized NKC Health as a Top Hospital in three procedures. The inaugural list recognized the health system with the prestigious Top Hospital-Gold Standard designation in two areas. Only 10 hospitals in each state can earn Gold Standard recognition for a given procedure.
