PGY-1 Residents
Mark Allred, PharmD
Mark Allred earned his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy. His clinical interests include antimicrobial stewardship, internal medicine and pharmacy operations innovation. Dr. Allred's project is on incidence of adverse events in patients prescribed apixaban on hemodialysis vs that in the non-hemodialysis population.
Originally from Parkville, Missouri, in his free time Mark enjoys spending time with his family, reading, cooking and being outdoors.

Kallie Leiker, PharmD
Kallie Leiker earned her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. Her clinical interests are internal medicine and management. Dr. Leiker's research project is titled "Utilizing a Multidisciplinary Approach to Increase Post-surgical Medication Access through Meds to Beds."
Originally from Hays, Kansas, in her free time Kallie goes for walks, plays board games, and works on puzzles with family and friends.

Ahmad Pazhoohi, PharmD
Ahmad Pazhoohi, PharmD, earned his doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy. His clinical interests include emergency medicine and infectious diseases. His research project is on maximizing rebates on the NKC Health employee pharmacy benefit plan.
Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Ahmad enjoys playing/watching sports, video games and watching sci-fi tv shows and movies.

PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Resident
Jamie Beck, PharmD
Jamie Beck graduated with her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy. She received her PGY-1 from Memorial Herman - Texas Medical Center.
Her clinical interests include emergency medicine, toxicology and infectious diseases. Her research project is on the impact of paralytic choice on post-intubation sedation practices in the emergency department.
When she's not at work, Jamie's hobbies include rock climbing, sand volleyball and spending time with her husband and dog.
