This place that makes me feel comfortable. It's never cold & the rooms are comfy. Staff is always friendly & answer my questions. Dr. Newman has delivered both my kids & asks about them everytime. The appointment goes quick, but is never rushed. She listens to my concerns & will have a real chat about them. She is really wonderful to have as a Doctor.

The most important and highest compliment that I can give this practice is that Dr. Newman is a tireless advocate for her patients. There is not a person or institution that she will let stand in the way of the highest quality care. She is excellent at explaining the options and helping empower you to make the best decisions for you and your pregnancy. I have trusted Dr. Newman with both of my pregnancies and referred her practice to my sisters and friends. When I had complications following a difficult delivery, her office got me in right away and she was with me every step of that healing journey. When I was out of state and realized that there were no good options for prenatal care and a safe delivery, she and her nurse Charity, along with the rest of the office staff, worked me in mid-pregnancy and I had a safe and smooth delivery with her. I do not say this lightly, but I would truly go to the ends of the earth for Dr. Newman and Charity- there is not a better care team out there.

I also appreciate the reminders of my upcoming appointments and the ability to check-in and pay in advance online. Anything that helps get me in and out quickly is appreciated, and this office does that well!

As a medically literate patient, I'm picky with providers and I would absolutely follow Dr. Newman to any practice. The office can be challenging - they don't always return calls as quickly as they probably should and sometimes making appointments is a challenge, but don't let that reflect poorly on Dr. Newman.

I have been seeing Dr. Newman for more than a decade and she is absolutely amazing! I started seeing her in collage and navigated those conversations all the way through the birth of my 2 children and post partum support. Her and her staff are so supportive, thorough, welcoming and friendly. Could not recommend a better provider group!
I had Dr. Newman as my doctor while I was pregnant and it was my first time experiencing everything. She is very dry and can be rude. I felt like just a number to her and that she didn't care about me at all. I was told I had gestational diabetes when I didn't, they got me and another patient switched up. When I went into the labor I told the nurse I was positive for group b strep and she came back and told me that Newman had told me wrong and that I didn't. It was a mess. I was furious. I waited for 2 hours on average to be seen by a doctor that could care less about me. I was soooo happy when Dr. Werner delivered my baby. I did not want Newman to do it. I switched to Dr. Werner as my OBGYN. Trust me choose a different doctor.
I have been a patient of Dr. Newman for over 7 years! She is amazing, I’ve never left an appointment feeling like I was just another patient. She delivered 2 of my 3 children, my last was an emergency c section in the early morning on the weekend otherwise she would of done all 3. I wish she had delivered all 3!
Dr. Newman has been my OBGYN since I was 15 years old. She has helped me throughout all my pregnancies, and reproductive issues til this day. She truly cares about your well-being and she actually listens to your concerns and answers all questions. I highly recommend her for all your OBGYN needs.
Definitely don’t bother her, or anyone in the practice, on weekends or after-hours. You’ll be relentlessly shamed for bothering them instead of going straight to the ER, “We can do absolutely nothing over the phone...”. THEN WHY IS ANYONE EVER ON-CALL?! Don’t worry yourselves, us commoners will hold our agony off until billable hours resume. We won’t bother the super busy ER either, since they’ll only give narcotics and send us away worse off.
Dr. Dunbar is amazing!! She was my OB for my first baby. She is so caring, patient, and always has a positive attitude ( I was always so anxious about my pregnancy due to being my first pregnancy, although I wasn't high risk). She was not there to deliver my baby last year, unfortunately, but received great care from her and her office. Her nurse Charity is also so sweet and the whole office staff are friendly and helpful. I had to have laparoscopic surgery after delivery last year and she was my surgeon. She explained things thoroughly, addressed my concerns and followed through. I have already recommended her to several friends and family!!
Dr. Newman was the doctor that delivered my baby because she was “on call” when I had him. My water had broken on a Sunday but not all the way so I called the office and talked to her. She was very rude on the phone. Anyways she told me to come in that night. After I was admitted and she came to the room to talk to me she was still very rude and had a bad attitude. I felt very uncomfortable. During labor she literally told me to be quiet so I could hear what she was saying. Horrible bedside manner and I’m very sad that my doctor I see regularly was not there to deliver my second baby. Would not recommend Dr. Newman if you prefer a doctor with basic manners that will make you feel comfortable through such a scary and painful process.

Incredibly bright, and will take care of you and baby, ensuring your safety the entire pregnancy pre and post-partum. Practices research-based care and demonstrated excellent skill during the labor process, from making sure we did not stress baby or mine’s heart rate, to stitching, to managing my blood loss incredibly quickly. I recovered safely and excellently.
Dr. Newman was the follow up doctor I was assigned after I had miscarried my first baby at 17 in 08. Dr. Newman has always been so honest, raw but also kind when providing her medical advice. I have had two successful pregnancies since becoming her patient but unfortunately haven't had the opportunity to have her deliver my babies due to having them on "on call hours" with different doctors. However, with many other issues women face, Dr. Newman and her nurse Charity are always providing the most efficient, honest care that everyone deserves. I couldn't thank Dr. Newman enough for not only keeping me healthy as a woman but mentally and emotionally. She is truly a treasure. Thank you, Dr. Newman!
Dr. Newman herself is okay, but the ladies who answer the phone in the office are extremely rude, disrespectful and talk to you in a demeaning tone. Angela, Dr. Newman's nurse talks to you the same way. Would not recommend them to anyone.
Very rude and will give attitude before you can even let her know what the issue is. Having a short temper would not recommend her to be anyone’s DR.
I have been seeing her ever since I was an adolescent and am now in my late 20's. She has always been wonderful, genuine and honest since the beginning! Most importantly, professional. Never felt judged or uncomfortable.
Dr Sarah Newman is awesome, and very friendly, she will make sure all your questions are answered. My wife is a patient of her since we moved to KC back in 2014, She delivered our daughter. we now moved to overland park area but my wife still prefer to drive 45 min to see Dr Sarah when required. We are very much very happy with her and the North Kansas city hospital.
Doc Newman delivered my last 2 children (2008, and 2012). Each time I had a question (though it wasn't my first time!) she answered every question very thoroughly, patiently, and kindly. Every time I've had a question after hours, I was able to get an answer from her or her nurse. The whole office is pleasant to be in. Appointments are typically quick. If there is a delay, it is vocalized to you so you know WHY you are waiting. (Doctor is with a baby being born) I've always been able to reschedule appointments without issue.
She is amazing and her nurse Charity is too. She delivered my daughter and took great care of me then in 2016. Last month I had to have a D&C after I learned of losing my baby at 12 weeks and she took amazing care of me as well then. She explained all my options well, gave me her suggestions, answered all of my many questions, gave me a needed hug and she truly cares for each of her patients, I cannot wait to deliver my future babies under her care. Charity her nurse is very compassionate too!

After a stillbirth in my second trimester, I was leary about doctors. My previous office was unimpressive. I was referred to Dr.Newman from a family member who has been seeing her for 10 years. She guided me through some fertility treatment before referring me to a specialist. 8 months later, I came back to her PREGNANT! I am now half way through this pregnancy and felt the need to give some feedback. Dr.Newman and her office have always been prompt when I'm in the office and in returning my calls. Most of all, she makes herself easily available for questions and concerns, and doesn't ever make me feel rushed. The level of understanding of my nerves through this pregnancy is amazing too, providing me with peace of mind as we progress. Would DEFINITELY recommend Dr. Newman to any lady out there
Dr newman is the best! When i had an ectopic pregnancy in 2014 she dropped EVERYTHING to do my life saving surgery. Did a great job. When I had my 2nd child via c-section in 2016 she did STUPENDOUS. everything smooth and easy. Healthy mom and baby. Great bedside manner. Expert in babies. Current 2018 obgyn. Trust her fully
I’ve been with Dr Newman for 11 years. She is patient, caring and thorough. She performed two of my three c-sections and I trust her beyond measure often turning to her for a second opinion when I question another physicians thoughts or approach. She always has time for me and I highly recommend her! I don’t mind the extra wait because I know she is taking time where it is needed with her patients.
Following a procedure with another physician in the office, I had some concerns. The physician who did the procedure wasn't available so I was seen by Dr. Newman. She was incredibly helpful and attentive. She explained everything in a way that the other physician didn't. I requested to change to her permanently and she has been my physician ever since. She takes her time to talk to me about my concerns and always seems to genuinely care. Her nurse Lucy is fantastic too and always takes time out to talk with me about what is going on and what needs to be done.
My wife called after having a hysterectomy to speak with her Dr. but Dr. Newman stated "she didn't care and it is after hours so go to CVS or the ER". She doesn't care!!!! WoW.
Dr Newman and her nurse are great. The issue is the office she practices out of. Scheduling an appointment is a nightmare and they are always behind by at least an hour.
