Dr Chen is genuinely kind and attentive. He listens to my health concerns and addresses them directly. I feel like I have a true partner in managing my healthcare! I highly recommend him.
Our pediatrician is meritas at nkc hospital. But we need just a weight and bilirubin test done. So they said we could just do that at our local meritas instead of driving 45min to our regular 1 we use. Dr. Chen. Did a full checkup which Is fine. But our 8 day old son still have the ring on from his circumcision they we were told not to mess with and it would fall off with 7 to 14 days. Chen proceeded to forcefully remove the ring cause our 8 day old to bleed and scream before he finally Gave up even after we told him bot to mess with it. Needless to say we ended up leaving and calling our normal pediatrician at nkc hospital and went in to get it checked out. They left the ring on hanging and I formed us there's nothing they can do until it falls the rest of the way off. And then they will see what damage was done and we can discuss how to fix it at that point. Meritas is a great dr office and we love our pediatrician at nkc hospital. But I would never recommend anyone take a child to Dr. Chen at the meritas is richmond ever again. It was the worse dr. Experience I have ever had.

Going to the doctor is never on anyone's list of favorite things to do. Dr Chen makes what is usually a not so fun experience better. He listens to your ailments and explains the whys and hows of the treatment plan. In short he takes the time to make you comfortable when you're re not feeling good and that is something to be appreciated.
Dr. Chen listened to our concerns. He didn’t push medications and gave us options for our daughter’s foot pain.
