At first approach, she came across as cold and very direct and would not let me finish a sentence. I felt that she was hurrying me without hearing me out. Once I told myself that she is the professional and perhaps has heard the same story more than a million times, I felt at ease and the rest of the appt went very well. Would I recommend Dr. Anthony to others? Indeed I would. She is very knowledgeable.
Dr. Anthony was easy to talk to, explained everything I needed to know about my situation. She was kind, made me feel comfortable and even made me laugh which helped me tremendously.

Andrea was very pleasant today and answered all my questions. This was my second visit -- the first one being many months ago. The first visit was quite rushed. I'm guessing now she was just really swamped at that time because I was very happy with today's visit.

My dad was fighting for his life and my niece was in there with him. She hadn't been there in days and told my dad without him asking you're not gonna make it bud in those exact words. My niece ran out of the room crying to her parents and when they questioned her she was so argent and totally disrespectful to my family. She has no bed side manners and is absolutely the most disrespectful heartless doctor my dad ever had. We have filed more with the medical board and North Kansas City Hospital. I truly hope that no family ever has to deal with the disrespect and lack of compassion for her patients and the families. We aren't the first family and I'm sure not the last. Please do NOT go to her!!!!

Dr. Anthony said she had no idea what we could or could not afford. She said our insurance sucks, it doesn't pay for hardly anything. She told me in a very strong deminer that I have COPD your lung test we did the second to last visit was only showing that i had less than 60% lung function, she said do the math that's COPD. Just hearing that for the first time kinda hits you in the face. Is there anything I can do to repair the damage she says no you already messed that up by smoking all those years.I know she is a good Dr. but here patient to Dr. relationship needs a lot of help. Of course this is just my opinion.

Dr. Anthony was very disappointed that a scan she had her office contact exray and imaging to schedule prior to my scheduled appointment for her review and ability to share the results with me. She absolutely took control and withing 10 minutes I was sitting in the radiology department waiting for my CT scan. I didn't wait but perhaps 15 minutes. She will get things done immediately and gas shown her interest and involvement in my care. She also was able to have me enrolled in a drug study for my condition. I could not be happier with my treatment.

I have COPD and really have bonded with Dr. Anthony. I have been going to her for several years now and have no desire to change, so please don't leave or retire! I always leave feeling she has taken care of me and my issues. She answers my questions to the best of her ability. Some may say she's abrasive; I say she's thorough and doesn't pull punches.
Worst Dr EVER!!!! Won't return calls. Took 2 MONTHS to get a prescription called in for Much Needed COPD medicine. As soon as I can get my family member switched to a real doctor and out of NKC hospital system official complaints will be filed!!!

I got a return call but I could bot answer the phone where I was when the call came in and so I called back again and again got no answer. I gave up. If you can schedule an appt Dr Anthony is a great doctor to see.

Dr. Anthony has a good bedside manner and an extensive knowledge of pulmonary diseases including sleep apnea. My sleep apnea is now better because of a repeat sleep study and the addition of oxygen with my BiPAP. She took the time to listen to me.

Dr. Anthony was not only incredibly rude to my father for being late (NKC later admitted they told him the wrong time), she botched the biopsy and EBUS report and didn't get everything needed so now KU is saying we have to go through the whole thing again. It's one thing to have horrendous bedside manner but completely unacceptable that he has to endure the biopsy twice because of her negligence. AVOID NKC LIKE THE PLAGUE.

Dr Anthony may be good at what she does, however, professionalism and bedside manner are not her forte'. I have seen her several times and each time she has been condescending and quite arrogant. She even took a call while seeing me the last time using profanity language in the process. I don't ask for a lot, however I found my last visit to be less than respectful all the way around.
