Saved my wife’s life 10 years ago. He is now my cardiologist and I cold not be happier!
This was my 2nd visit with Dr. Mitchell over a 5 year period. The first time at North Kansas City Hospital during Covid period and this time at a different office near Riss lake. Was glad they told me to drive to the back of the building because I was totally unfamiliar with the office location area and went to a different building. Map quest quickly corrected that mistake and I had no problem parking right at the office entrance. Appointment went very quickly. No waiting around following check/in which went very smoothly despite being labeled as a “new patient”. Dr Mitchell is very competent and has had educational information viewable online with North Kansas City hospital.
After having chest pains and going to NKC Hospital, they ran several tests which they said all came back normal. I had previously had 5 stents put in from having these same chest pains. Dr. Mitchell came in and said there was no reason to explore further since all the test came back fine even though all the tests came back fine the first time I had 5 stents put in. He was in my hospital room less than 5 minutes and totally dismissed my concerns and told me to come back and see him in six months. Still having symptoms, I returned to my previous cardiologist who actually LISTENED to my concerns and suggested a heart cath. I just had surgery on a main artery that was 80% blocked. Dr. Mitchell, I would highly recommend that you take the time to listen to your patients and not be in such hurry to move on to the next room while making rounds. It is not about quantity, it is about quality of care, sir.

Wonderful experience
I really like Dr. Mitchell. He always asks questions & listens to my answers. If I have questions he always answers them. With some of my answers or questions that seem unrelated, he has seemed concerned & had testing done that found something that needed to be addressed. It can sometimes be hard to make an appt with him, but I also feel that is a good sign of a great doctor.
Good polite staff ... Dr Mitchell is very good and explained everything to me to where I understood everything ... I left his office without any questions in my mind ...

Great Doctor!
I've never felt so dismissed and disrespected by a doctor in my entire life. I ended up walking out of the appointment due to his poor bedside manner and unprofessionalism. As a healthcare worker myself, I am blown away by how poor my interaction with Dr Mitchell was
I spent more years than I can remember under the care of Dr. Miller at Northland cardiology. I never thought I would find somebody that I would like and trust as much. Yesterday I had my second or third visit with Dr Mitchell with Meritas, CARDIOLOGY. I don’t know why this review Leaves me feeling 45 years old this morning as opposed to 74 . I think Dr Mitchell is an excellent cardiologist speaks straight up with no chaser, that’s the way I like it. I believe I have one of the best cardiologist in the Midwest now.. I walked out of his office with a little bit lighter step and a little song in my heart. Thankful to God that I am in my opinion very healthy now.. I would not recommend this Dr to anyone. He did a procedure on my mother he said she was not strong enough for. She wasn't and she died during the procedure. Then a week later while grieving we received a get well card addressed to my mother from his office?!?! Why would someone do something so heartless and cruel. How did he not know she died during the procedure?

Dr. Mitchell literally saved my life in 2013 when he located the arteries that needed to have stints, when they were difficult to locate. As before I would trust my life with Dr. Mitchell.
Dr. Mitchell is awesome. Spends time explaining, answering questions and being a real person. He makes things easy to deal with and I appreciate his great staff.
I have been having very bad fatigue problems and when I shared them with Dr. Mitchell he gave me his full attention, gave me his thoughts and gave me a test I think I needed. I appreciate his full attention with full eye contact . I am so happy to have Dr. Mitchell part of the team that is extending my life.
Efficient and professional appointment
No wait was in fast. And the friendliest nurses and help. I left feeling better. I have a heart monitor and I bet it doesn’t do the symptoms I have been having. Was so relieved in his care and concern. I’d recommend him to anyone. Even the nurse told me I came to the right place to get answers!!!!
