U.S. News & World Report names NKC Health among Best Hospitals for Maternity Care

For the fourth consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report has named NKC Health a 2026 High Performing hospital for Maternity Care, the highest recognition the publication awards. The honor follows NKC Health’s recent High Performing ratings in 14 areas of care in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Regional Hospitals 2025-2026 rankings published in July of 2025.

“We are honored to once again receive this distinction as one of the top maternity hospitals in the country,” said Catherine Bonderer, MSN, MBA, RNC-OB, senior director of Maternal Child Health. “Our hospital is dedicated to women’s health, recognizing its positive impact on the well-being of entire families. We strive to empower expectant mothers and their families to feel informed and confident throughout their journey.”

NKC Health is grateful for the community’s trust in welcoming nearly 2,500 babies this year. The annual Best Hospitals for Maternity Care ratings are a resource for expectant parents to find the maternity care that best meets their family’s needs. To create the list, approximately 900 labor and delivery hospitals nationwide submitted maternity data on objective quality measures.

The Best Hospitals for Maternity Care (Uncomplicated Pregnancy) scorecard rated NKC Health excellent at minimizing avoidable C-sections. The health system also earned Birthing-Friendly recognition because of its commitment to improving maternal outcomes. The full U.S. News & World Report scorecard can be found here.
