High Performing designations demonstrate a hospital’s specialized expertise and commitment to exceptional care. The annual rankings and ratings are designed to help guide informed decisions about where to receive quality care and highlight hospitals that consistently deliver excellent outcomes.
U.S. News and World Report evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals, but only one-third of them received a High Performing mark of distinction. Each hospital’s ranking is determined by a methodology that incorporates objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and the level of nursing care.
