Exceptional management of high-risk pregnancies

NKC Health High-Risk Pregnancy Care specializes in treating expecting mothers who have a pre-existing medical condition before pregnancy, develop health concerns during the pregnancy or are expecting more than one baby.

Some obstetricians refer patients to us for specialized ultrasound services, even when the pregnancy is considered low risk.

Your appointments

Our staff is available to schedule appointments Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Arrive 15 minutes early so we have time to update your medical records. If you need to complete the new patient paperwork in our office, please arrive 30 minutes early.

Pease bring:

  • Insurance cards
  • Driver’s license or valid photo ID
  • Completed paperwork
  • Copayment
  • A list of your current medications

Because we care for patients with high-risk pregnancies, we ask patients to bring no more than one support person who is sixteen years or older. This helps us maintain a safe environment for everyone.

Contact our office at least 24 hours before your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule or there may be a $50 cancellation fee.

If you arrive more than 10 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, we may need to reschedule your visit.

Prescription refills

There are a few ways you can request a prescription refill:

  • At your appointment - Tell your doctor if you’ll need a refill before your next visit.
  • From the patient portal - Log in to the patient portal. Under My Medications, select Renew to request a refill.
  • Request that the pharmacy send refill requests electronically.

Allow 24 hours for a response to prescription refill requests and questions received Monday through Thursday. Requests received on Friday will be answered the following Monday.

How to prepare for your ultrasound:

  • Wear a two-piece outfit. This makes it easier to complete your exam.
  • Follow your usual diet. Continue following any diet prescribed by your doctor.
  • Arrive on time. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your ultrasound.

What to expect during your ultrasound:

  • If a clear image cannot be obtained through an abdominal ultrasound, we may perform a transvaginal ultrasound. This is less likely to be needed after 24 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Ultrasound images are sent to your phone through Trice. You can download and share them from your device.
  • If you request images more than 30 days after your appointment, a $25 fee applies to retrieve them from our archives.
