Medical Assistants are vital to healthcare. The role is diverse and fast-paced with administrative and clinical duties performed in a physician office setting. This is a great opportunity to jumpstart or progress your career.
Meritas Health is taking a proactive approach to the evolving challenges in healthcare by offering a unique educational training program to attract and retain medical assistants to MH practices.
You will learn how to:
- Prepare patients for exams
- Take vitals and gather health history
- Administer injections and vaccines
- Assist with procedures
- Appropriately document, update and verify patient information
- Perform administrative duties
The training program includes:
- Fourteen (14) weeks of paid training
- Starting pay of $17/hour
- Clinical classroom training for skill development
- Online curriculum
- On-the-job instruction
- Medical Assistant Certification exam voucher
To qualify, you must have:
- High school diploma or GED
- Positive and professional attitude
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Personal stethoscope (be willing to purchase, if needed)
- Customer service experience (not required but a PLUS)
After successfully completing the program, you will be placed in a Medical Assistant position in a Meritas Health practice. By completing this program, you agree to an 18-month work commitment with Meritas Health.
