Care Philosophy

Listening and compassion are at the heart of good medicine. Taking time to understand each person’s story allows me to tailor care that fits their life — and that understanding itself can be deeply healing. Ultimately, I strive to build trusting relationships with my patients and empower them to make informed decisions about their health. 

Areas of Interest

I have a strong background in preventive care and chronic disease management, including hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and high cholesterol. I am skilled in coordinating care and collaborating with specialists to address more complex medical needs. I also enjoy caring for adolescents and supporting them through the transition to adult medicine. My clinical interests include weight management, women’s health during the menopause transition, and advancing the health of African Americans in our country.
