It was just over 10 years ago when I was under the care of now-retired cardiologists at this same office to deal with a very leaky mitral valve. I thought I was overdue to be checked again since the replacement was a decade ago. ALL of the staff at this office were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Dr. Maxfield had obviously taken time ahead of my visit to review my records from a decade ago - he knew which tissue valve I had and was familiar with its performance. He took the time to listen to particular concerns I had, as well as update me on current recommendations for ongoing monitoring and general cardiological health guidelines. He was friendly and patient, and helpful in navigating decisions on additional ongoing monitoring/diagnostics.

The whole staff is wonderful. From the front desk person who came and found me because I was on the wrong floor to Dr. Maxfield. Sam his nurse is also very professional at her job, but she also makes you feel at ease. I hate to go to a new Doctor, but this was the best experience I have ever had. Doctor Maxfield was a pleasure to deal with. This was my wife’s first visit with as we have for years seen Doctor Barr who has retired. Doctor Maxfield was easy to talk with as we reviewed my wife’s history and her related health issues. He asked questions and made recommendations about any potential problems. I believe anyone will be able to deal with him. He seems a man dedicated to his family and his profession. We feel well taken care of.

He spent a lot of time explaining my results in a very, calm and considerate manner. He let me ask a lot of questions and didn't interrupt me, and he explained his answers thoroughly.
