Dr. Berry is very easy to talk, and knowledgeable
Best doctor I have ever had. Very informative, takes the time to listen to your concerns and answers all questions you have on your treatment plan. Highly recommend.
Very courteous and friendly which makes for a relaxed visit.
Dr. Berry is an excellent physician. He takes his time to be very thorough and always answers my questions. He truly cares about the individual needs of his patients!
Listens to your questions, gives feedback and any results of tests are relayed to you quickly.
Dr Barry and his staff were very personable and My appointment was taken care of in a timely professional manner two thumbs up!
Both the Dr and nurse were very good and professional.⁸
Dr. Berry listened to my concerns and assessed my situation with care. Treatment was appropriate and helpful. Thank you!
My favorite thing about having Dr Berry as my primary physician is he always takes his time, and he lets me ask all of my questions. He always listens to my concerns.
The nurse and the doctor need to communicate better and listen to the needs of the patient. I really felt like part of a daily head count instead of a patient. Good medical staff is getting tougher and tougher to find.
Dr. Berry and his entire staff are AWESOME!!. So caring and professional. If you need a family physician, call Dr. Jeffery Berry. M.D.
Dr Berry always takes time to listen and respond to questions. He gives spot on solutions.
Didn't care for all the lock down
The Dr did not even look at my son’s throat or offer any other testing. He also said that his ears were clear and there was nothing he could do. He has been sick all winter and can’t hear out of one ear which was communicated. Went to Olathe urgent care two days later and tested positive for mono. Right ear had a lot of wax and left ear had fluid behind the drum.
I recently had a visit with Dr Berry and his nursing staff. All were so kind and respectful and took me in On Time. Dr Berry is always asking allot of questions and concerns about my health. We walked through a Months worth of a health issue information from me. I left feeling well informed and more at ease. Thanks Dr Berry and Nursing Staff.
Annual physical was very helpful. Lab work was quick and well-done.
He always takes time and listens to your concerns.
I met Dr. Berry as a new patient. He was very through looking at my health history and asked questions to clarify any potential issues. I didn't feel rushed at any time. Such as some clinics will do to get to as many patients as possible in a day.
I’m always impressed with how up-to-date and aware Dr. Berry is on what’s best for me. It’s evident that he keeps very current on new information in the medical world. He’s very pleasant and easy to talk with, and I feel extremely comfortable with him!
Dr. Berry and his staff are top notch health care professionals! They always listen to my concerns and search for answers to my health issues.
It was nice to hear “your doing good from the doctor
Dr. J. Berry is very knowledgeable and listens to his patients.
Efficient and friendly office
Very glad I switched pcps and now have Dr Berry. He is excellent, thorough and kind.
I like Dr.Berry very much , his demeanor , his personality & he always has answers for my questions , would recommend him to all .
Never have to wait long before he comes in. We talked about everything that I came in for
Dr. BERRY is a very caring and professional physician who will provide a high level of care and comfort in his diagnosis. Highly recommend contacting him as a long term primary physician
Dr. Berry listened to me and seems knowledgeable.
Easy check in and minimal waiting in the lobby to be seen by the doctor!
As I am getting to know Dr. Berry and he is getting to know me I am growing in my confidence concerning his decision concerning my health care. Learning to trust. I see he is concerned about my health.
He listened to me, then solved the problem. He is the best!
I was able to have an honest conversation with him about my issues. He discussed with me my options in a easy to understand way. Was able to work with me on my symptoms.
Would not go anywhere else for my children’s care !
I was sick the nurse fit me in and Dr. Berry was very pleasant. His nurse is so nice . We discussed my pains and was diagnosed.
Negative Experience. Visited the Urgent Care w/ Dr. Berry because of a painful, burning rash on my shoulder that looked like shingles. I’m young so I understand it’s rare, but not impossible. My mistake was letting them know I was camping when the rash developed but I didn’t believe I encountered poison ivy/oak and felt flu-like symptoms for the last week & a half, too. I mentioned my mother-in-law encouraged me to seek help because it didn’t look right and resembled her shingles. I showed him how it was only on one side by pulling the neck of my t-shirt to the side, which he was weird about in the sense that he acted like I was a mutant but didn’t put on a glove to check it. He should have invited a nurse in if he needed it but didn’t. I figured he read my responses to the nurse because he asked for zero of my history, like if I had ever even had chicken pox. My bad for assuming. When he silently shuffled into the room, it seemed like he feared how I’d react with his diagnosis? I later surmised he had already dismissed me and had made up his mind & feared I wouldn’t like his response because I had JUST relayed clear symptoms of shingles I had been & was currently experiencing. For some reason he decided he was going elsewhere. Why ask questions if you’re throwing my responses out the window? No, I didn’t like his response. Said it’s contact dermatitis from poison ivy or something, I’ll send steroids to your pharmacy, is that ok? Another mistake I made is having my anxiety/depression meds on my chart & totally feel like that was one part of why I was so easily dismissed. I’ll also admit I was there on a Saturday 15 minutes from closing… but if he just took a second to look & listen, it would’ve been the same amount of time?, maybe I wouldn’t have had to endure another painful, nauseous night where eventually one side of my face went numb? Now I have to check-in with an opthomologist in a couple weeks to make sure my eye sight isn’t affected. It could have maybe been avoided with antivirals. I had told the nurse it was really painful but forgot to tell her about the blisters/canker sores in my mouth so I mentioned it to him. I’ve experienced them before but not like this. Barely checked them & didn’t even let me pull back my cheeks enough (most were near my molars) before he just said oh, yeah, he sees them but you get from a weakened immune system if your body’s already trying to fight something like an allergy 🤨 I figured if he ignored everything I just said, he just doesn’t believe me & I need to go elsewhere. I hadn’t read the reviews before my visit but now that I’m seeing them, I’m glad I didn’t try volleying with him again & instead accepted the steroids & ran. I don’t need a doctor thinking I’m arguing with them over something as silly as my own body. I went to the ER the next day where I was prescribed pain meds & an antiviral for shingles. I would love to have contact dermatitis compared to shingles. I wish I would have known why I was being dismissed. Maybe we could have discussed those reasons & been a little more collaborative with my care? I don’t know but I’m disappointed.
Excellent service, very pleased
I been going to Gashland Clinic for over 25 years. So that should tell you alot.
Dr. Berry is very kind and answers all your questions. I have never had a problem getting an appointment. He doesn’t try to rush through your appointment. He makes you feel that he genuinely cares about your concerns. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a doctor.
Always a good experience!
Dr. Berry and his staff are great. They got me in when I needed to be seen. I am grateful for that and now I'm feeling much better.
Had a great experience with Dr. Berry. Would recommend him to everybody else.
Very professional and knowledgeable! Always courteous and listens to me. I truly feel that my needs are always addressed and resolved professionally! Highly recommend!!!
Dr. Berry has always been direct and pleasant to speak with. I know when visiting with him I will be taken care of by him and his wonderful staff. I put my trust in Dr. Berry and after 17 years I have changed my son’s doctor so that he will also receive the great service team at Meritas Health.
Dr. Berry did a great job of listening and advising me on my last visit. He took his time which is so appreciated.
Dr. Berry and his nurse Amy were the best , personal and caring !
very professional. Excellent demeanor. Excellent. Experience. Very thorough and spent ample time.
Dr Berry was nice. I saw him only because I couldn't see Dr Krumm who is my primary physician. I really can't give him a review based on a 10 minute appt. He gave me meds and ordered blood work and another test for what he thinks was a bad stomach flu.
I arrived about 10 minutes early. I no more than sat down when I was called into the exam room. The nurse came in almost immediately and was extremely friendly and professional. The doctor walked in just a minute or two of the nurse finishing. After he examed me he was very clear in what he thought was my problem and he explained in my language what the next steps would be. After the lab results showed further study was needed, I was informed of that as well. 5 stars to Doctor Berry and his staff.
Dr. Berry has been my PCP for the past few years and I definitely recommend him. He’s got a really pleasant demeanor and great bedside manner.
I couldn’t get into my regular GP for two days, so I saw Dr. Barry. He was kind, extremely thorough, communicated very well, and listened carefully to what I was experiencing to determine what causing my illness. I am very impressed! His nurse, Laura, was kind, compassionate and listened to and documented my symptoms, which was helpful with diagnosis. I highly recommend Dr.Barry. His assessment, demeanor, bedside manner and diagnosis were spot on!
Doesn't say much. Not very personable.
Great. Docters, nurses and staff always so helpful and friendly.
My Dr was out and I needed to be seen for a 2nd time at UC as I was getting worse. The receptionist was very sweet and said she had another Dr that a had an opening. I agreed and went. The nurse did the usual, asked why I was there, I told her, she repeated the Covid and flu tests as the previous Dr said I may have come to soon. I asked her twice to please do a strep test because my throat was very sore. She did not. While I was waiting for the Dr, they were all in a room next to me with paper thin walls. He then asked what was next, I heard her speak briefly of me and then tell him, "she looks like she's high."He said something to the effect of, what does she want from me? He entered my room, announced himself, I stood and offered my hand and he said, "No, no, you have germs." Never in my 62 years of meeting a physician has that happened. He proceeded to ask why I was there. I explained the UC Dr said to come back if I got worse. Again asked for a strep test and that at this point I was feeling really short of breath so would he please reorder the chest X-ray. He ordered it. I also asked him to prescribe a "Z pack." Again, he complied, but abruptly dismissed me. I felt it necessary to report this. That is not how a Dr and his nurses should behave. I have been sick for 10 days, yes, my hair was dirty and pulled back in a ponytail. I hadn't slept in 3 days, so I probably did look pretty run down. But to say I looked high?? Unacceptable and infuriating. Dr's and nurses are going to see people in various states depending on why they are there. Regardless, to speak negatively and pass judgement is simply not ok. I mentioned Dr. Berry's behavior to another employee, whom I shall not name. But was informed that it was not the first time this had happened. I'm very disappointed to have had to write this. But this young man is not understanding the true meaning of being a Dr. He was just simply rude and because I've always had such positive experiences with all of the Dr's, nurses, lab techs and reception people in your facility, I couldn't not report this. Sincerely, Lori Rock
I have never been treated as poorly by doctors as I have been at meritas gashland….noooo let’s broaden that to the entire NKC system. My delivery atcNKC was… awful. The doctor(Sarah something) was short and rude during my delivery, she called her nurses r*tarded, when the babies doctor asked that my daughter stay in the nursery for the night to watch her eating, I was met with this by nurse Karen…. “This isn’t a day care. We don’t just watch your kids for you. You can handle your own baby for the night.” Theeeeen the ER….Dr. Maher refused to call me my preferred pronouns and wouldn’t look into my “woman’s issues” (which btw im not getting surgery on). Dr deffenbaugh at gashland…. Literally stepped out of Mean Girls to become a doctor. Talked to me like the lowest pile of garbage, accused me of med seeking when all I was worried about was my 177/111 BP. Dr Berry…. I straight up left the apt. I have NEVER been so disrespected. I asked about psychiatric meds and instead of saying “oh I don’t do that” he condescendingly lectured me. If all of the NKC system were to shut down I would probably rejoice.
Dr Barry and his nurse stayed a little late just to get me into the office and check my lungs for pneumonia.
First time with this physician and was very pleased with my care. I thought he listened well, did not rush the visit at all and gave good advise. I did not have to wait long to be called back. I do also want to mention that his nurse was very nice and pleasant, they both had great bedside manner. I would diffently see them again.
Dr Berry is currently treating my symptoms hoping to get me an MRI to pinpoint my problem (s). Wishing that is soon!
I believe Dr Berry may have just saved my life. I saw Dr Berry recently for a low back strain, and during examination I made mention of some lower right quadrant discomfort. This pain had been rather intense several days before I had been seen, but had subsided to a dull ache by the time I saw Dr Berry. He thought I may have appendicitis, scheduled me for an urgent CT scan which confirmed his suspicions, sent me to the ER, and was admitted to the hospital where I had a successful appendectomy performed. I thank God for blessing Dr Berry and his staff with the talent they have because I believe I would have had a much different outcome if it were not for Dr Berry's astute observations. Also, 5 stars for the staff at Gashland Clinic for hastily finding me a nearby facility to do the CT as my insurance would not cover a CT at their clinic.
Dr.Berry is always professional and knows how to explain things in a way that you understand!
Husband had new patient appointment with Dr. Berry today and he was disappointed with his experience. He felt the doctor rushed him and did not listen to his concerns.
Attempted to see Dr. Berry but had a question on why I was a new patient and was receiving two appointments. Talked to a lady at the scheduling desk and she was very rude and unprofessional when answering the question and told me to "Just ask Dr. Berry at the time of the appointment". Decided to go to another doctor and cancelled my appointments.
Really appreciated the time he spent explaining my situation...thank you.
Dr Berry is the first dr that has really listened to me in a long time. I never feel rushed during our visits. He helped me get off pain pills which I had been trying to do for a long time.
After going to trusted physician for 25+ years it was a time of intrepidation upon his retirement. I was fortunate with his recommendation to find Dr. Berry. He made the transition comfortable and professional. I highly recommend his services.
Dr was very nice and easy to talk with. I am looking forward to having a good doctor since moving back to Mo
Dr. Berry was professional, kind, engaged and did not make the visit feel rushed.
I had an appointment as a new patient because my long term doctor has retired. I didn't consider him very friendly. He didn't seem to care much about me and didn't like it when I didn't agree with something he said. I ask for more info on why he felt the way he did and he just said ' I'm not going to argue with you.' He looked at his laptop the whole time and never stopped to look at me and really listen to what I was saying. My previous doctor was an excellent doctor that treated me with respect and he felt like a friend that really cared about me. Therefore, I have very high expectations for a new doctor. I will give Dr Berry another chance, but if I still feel the same way, I will be moving on.
excellent annual physical discussion.
Dr. Berry and his nurse Amy are personable and thorough. Appointments are easy to get I feel that I am given excellent care.
Dr.Berry dr. Barry’s appointment was on time and he addressed all my questions and concerns.
Got me in early and went thru every detail.
Dr. Berry was knowledgeable and professional, but more importantly, he listened to me.
Dr. Berry was very down to earth, quick, and thorough. He kindly answered all my questions and I got a notification of my prescription put into my pharmacy before I left! All doctors should be this way.
Dr. Berry is my primary physician. He is very thorough and listens to any questions that I may have. I would recommend Dr. Berry if your looking for a physician.
Iam actually shocked to see how many good reviews this doctor has. As he’s the most unconcerned, careless doctor I’ve been too. He’s my new pc and i tell you, I’m not happy with the few times I’ve seen him. He’s quick to shove medicine in your face without finding a root problem as well. He’s just not a very nice and welcoming doctor, i won’t be seeing him again going forward. I’m black so i wonder if that has to do with anything lol
Gashland Clinic is always friendly and so is Dr. Berry and his staff. Dr. Berry took time to listen to my requests and explained options to me. I appreciate his throughness in explaining everything.
Dr. Berry and his staff are wonderful. They are so friendly, warm and professional. Dr. Berry always takes the time to talk about any issues I may be experiencing. He is a young doctor but so very informed and knowledgeable. I am fortunate to have him as my primary care physician!
They saw me quickly and diagnosed my issues accurately. Thanks' to a great staff.
Always a good visit with Dr. Berry. He takes his time to answer any questions.
My appointment with Dr. Berry was a physical. My 1st mistake was visiting with an MD rather than a DO. I wasn't sure of his credentials going into appt. He explained I was behind on vaccines (Flu and Covid-19) to both I said I would never get either. I'm a strong believer in Vit D3 during the winter and I have never had the flu. I questioned the need for a colonoscopy for a 46 yr old with zero family history, he didn't care for my opposition on that matter either. For the rest of the appt he wouldn't look at me, did not ask me if I had any concerns, the 2 concerns I did bring up he didn't have anything helpful to suggest. I didn't bother bringing up the other concerns on my agenda. Again, my fault for not looking at his credentials, I need a doctor that looks at different health options out there not just tests and meds.
I was able to get in to see Dr Berry the same day I called. That was such a relief as I was having alot of pain. It was a relief to know the cause, which was a kidney stone. Thank-you Dr Berry.
Very professioal
Great care and addressed all my concerns.
He was great and gave me peace of mind. Cory, who did my vitals, was exceptionally great!
Always listens to my concerns, make sure I’m aware of treatment plans, confirms I feel comfortable reaching out anytime, and his nurse is the absolute best.
Online check in was easy and quick. Made the time at check in desk less. Dr Berry was very quick and thorough. Great visit
Very easy to understand. Kind.
Not my regular doctor but very happy with Dr. Berry.
Dr. Berry is good at listening.
Dr.berry is an awesome doctor. He listens to you,and never acts like he's in a hurry.
Dr. Berry has been my new Primary for the last year and I've been completely satisfied. He's always very responsive to my questions and is up-front about my medications and conflicts when making decisions. I'm glad to have a long-term doctor who is available and capable to provide thoughtful and effect healthcare. Thanks Dr. Berry!!
Not thorough, and doesn’t listen to the patient.
No confidence, my fault, can't connect.
This was my initial visit with Dr. Berry, and I was most impressed. He was attentive to my concerns, and compassionately responsive.
Good listener, quick response time! Thanks for the help!
important fact little to no wait to start appointment
I love my doctor! He's a straight to the point physician and very chill. He explains to you your options and let you know what you can do. He respects your opinion and NEVER judges you! He treats you like an adult capable of making your own decisions under the information he has given you with the consequences.
The service that I receive from Dr Berry is excellent. Dr Berry and his staff are very friendly and ensure that I’am properly informed about my health care. I would and I have recommended him to friends and family.
Dr. Barry is very attentive and competent. I feel he is a very good doctor.
Dr Berry and staff were courteous and thorough with my annual visit. Everything was very professional and well done.
Dr. Berry is such a respectful physician and person! He will listen to you and do the best to help. Highly recommend
I have been coming to the Clinic for many years. Dr. Berry is doing a fine job, as I was a patient of Dr. Lerding.
It was. a good experience!
Gave me medication that seems to be working.
Dr. Berry listened to my health issue and addressed a plan of action- very pleased .
Dr Berry is younger than my previous doctor. He seems very knowledgeable about medicine and will listen to what you tell him. That's very important to my wife and I highly recommend this dedicated young physician if you are in the market to change.
This is the 2nd time ive visited dr berry as my new pc dr and it will be my last. Was suppose to be a "diabetic exam". Only thing diabetic related was we went over my a1c, which i halved 12 to a 7. So instead of getting a good job we are almost there, i got "you missed the goal" and i want to double yours meds. This was after i explained i had only started taking my meds again 3 months ago and explain why we should double anything absent of evidence. Dr berry just crossed his arms and just essentially threw a hissy fit. Doctors are losing trust and wonder why. You couldnt rationalize your position/decision and just expect patients to follow.
This was my first visit to Dr Berry’s office, establishing him as my new primary care physician. I was very impressed with how attentive, professional and friendly that Dr Berry and all of the staff who I met with were. I am very happy with my decision to establish Dr Berry as my PCP.
I've only seen Dr. Berry a couple of times because my long time provider retired, but I found him to be very engaging, he listened well, and asked really good questions during my visit. I felt comfort in the advice and information he gave me, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a general physician.
First and definite last visit. Did not address any concerns or issues.
He listens what i need and feel. DR.Berrt is very helpful even when i email him in portal he always answer my questions. He and his nurses deserves a 5 star.
Dr. Berry was incredible when I had flank pain. He was thorough with his assessment, listened carefully, ran all necessary tests and took the situation very seriously. He personally followed up numerous times and quickly responded to portal messages. I would highly recommend him for your health needs!
My appointment was on time and Dr. Berry was both personable and professional.
Dr. Berry was able to diagnose my diabeties and treat it getting it under control quickly. He also found that I needed the care of a cardiologist refering me to one in my network. He is insightful and thorough. I want to thank him for his efforts...
Dr. Berry was very professional and polite. I felt treated well & with care. Dr. Berry was fabulous at asking questions, as well as listening to my response. I did not feel rushed out the door.
Horrible...I hope I never get him again....all he cared about Covid...Rush Rush didn't listen at all and sure didn't hear what I had to say.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Berry to family and friends. He was personable and knowledgeable. He listened to me and offered multiple treatment options. I never felt rushed or pressured. My previous GP of almost 30 years retired and this visit was the start and end of the search for my next GP. I look forward to many more years with Dr. Berry.
My first appointment with Dr Berry. I really appreciated him taking time to listen to my concerns. Together we came up with an action plan for my conditions
He was a arrogant impersonal doctor who I disliked his unpleasant attitude from the very start of our visit. We had just relocated from Arizona and having had three back surgeries needed a primary physician for my medical needs of which he had no interest of learning about. Rather he was all about the medications I had been taking for my chronic pain. I left the office with a plan to ween me off my pain medication and when asked for a alternative in pain management was told to see a pain management doctor. Completely uninterested in my current situation. BEWARE Of Dr. Berry who I wouldn’t trust my dog to
I had my follow up office visit with Dr Berry after being discharged from the hospital. Dr. Berry was very thorough with the exam and the visit was not rushed. He is an excellent listener and very empathetic to my concerns along with my wife’s questions. He offered excellent follow up recommendations for me. Dr. Berry has the best communication skills and we are so happy to have our visit with Dr Berry. I recommend Dr. Berry to manage medical care.
Dr. Berry was very helpful, information and kind. Im Looking forward to being his patient.
