When I first heard that I had A-Fib at NKC Hospital, I watched Dr Drew Allen walk around my bed to make sure I was OK. So, when one of the nurses asked me which cardiologist I wanted…I had no problem with choosing Dr Allen. He’s a Dr who listens and explains what is happening. I was given an EKG Tuesday (July 23, 2024) and another on Friday (July 26 at 1:30pm). The nurses gave me which place. I chose tremont since we live very close to that location and CVS is across the street from Tremont. I-29 & 64th Street. We live on the east side of I-29 & 64th St. in the Coventry housing district at 6212 N Merrimac Ct. Thank you Dr Allen and nurses as I feel “in good hands”. My next challenge will be “Ablation”. Earlier this year had a stress test that come out just fine which was ordered by my regular Doctor. However four weeks ago I had an unexpected heart attack with 100% blockage. North Kansas City hospital ER acted quickly and Dr Allen along with other professionals at the ER saved my life. Two stents were placed. Eternally grateful. This comment is the least I can do.

No. Ive been having chest pressure /pain . Dr drew keep pushing heart catheterization. My primary and hospital suggested a stress test ,it came out fine. As a follow up to what to do next to find the problem. But instead he gave NO follow up on what to do next . Gave no suggestion s no follow up visit . I was just blown off basically. Acts like he's mad my primary doctor had me do a stress test first before getting heart cath test. So its like let him deal with it than attitude from allen.Thanks !And his nurse cassandra is rude talks down to you, customer service skill is a Zero ! Very mouthy and rude ! So much for telling people to ask questions and do your own research, Really They the doctors dont like it. Looking for a new cardiologist . Plenty others out there .
Great guy and doctor
Dr. Allen saved my life last year. After going to the emergency room with a heart attack, I was admitted to Cardiac ICU. Dr. Allen happened to be the cardiologist assigned to my case. The next morning he told me I was his top priority. Later that day I received two stents and was home the next day. Dr. Allen makes you feel like you are his only patient and his competency is bar none! Thank you Dr. Allen from the bottom of my tuned up heart!
Dr Allen saved my life in 2017 , the morning I had my heart attack at the age of 44. Dr Allen worked fast as he explained everything he was doing and although I was actively having a heart attack, Dr Allen made me feel at ease, relaxed and truly trusted I was in good hands with him.he process literally lasted 2 hours the morning of May 4th 2017, from the time my symptoms started at 0640 to 0840, when I was done in the cath lab getting one stent placed for 100% blockage in one of my arteries.
