Staff and nursing and my doctor a very pleasant and nice
Dr Chilappa has been my Rheumatologist for over 5 years. He is incredibly trustworthy and very good at his specialty. I think very highly of his attention to the patient experience and am grateful for his attention to detail. He gets the 5 stars - North Kansas City Hospital for not accepting United Healthcare in 2026 however is going to cost doctors their patients unless they pay out of pocket. This is unfair to doctors and their patients. I would like to keep Dr. Chilappa as my Rheumatologist - fear NKC hospital doesn't care about the patients.

FOR 14 YEARS NOW HE MOVE FROM REACH SEARCH MEDCIAL HOSPITAL TO NORTH KANSAS CITY HOSPITAL I WENT WIT MY DOCTOR @ NORTH KANSAS HOSPITAL " NOW FOR 2 YEARS I ❤️ MY DR 💯 KEEPS WIT MY NEW MEDICINE TREAT ME RIGHT FOR 14 YEARS STILL GOING..... HE MOVED I MOVED TOOO....
After 10 years of being a patient to this man I'm so over him. He never addressed the issue with his nurse Sara not informing me of my health scare that made me take a blood transfusion and then iron infusion. I'm so mad right now. Then he tries to make seem like it's my PC fault. No I will not be going back to that dr. He then tries to tell me what I can n can't say in his office so because I said dumb he got mad. I need a new rheumatologist and now. He asked me to do labs I refused cause I never got results from last labs so I walked out. That practice is a joke.
An amazing experience for an appointment that I was a worried about. Dr Chilappa was friendly, kind and focused on me as the patient. Really great experience!

The worst experience I have ever had with a doctor. I have lost over 10 pounds unintentionally with no changes and he looked me up and down and told me “your bmi is fine” mind you I weigh 155 and was previously 170. Had a positive Ana and other positive labs and completely dismissed them. Well today I was diagnosed with lupus and a blood clotting disorder. Save yourself the trouble and don’t bother with this doctor.
Some time ago he was able to diagnose a complication I had following knee surgery when other docs were trying to figure it out. He is top notch as far as I am concerned.
Staff is always very friendly and helpful. Waiting time is short. Waiting room is clean and comfortable. Dr. Chilappa is very knowledgeable about my somewhat rare condition. I always feel that he listens to me the way a friend would. I am extremely pleased with this office and would highly recommend it.

He didn't listen to what I had to say. It felt like he just wanted to hurry and get done. Not happy.
Dr Chilappa was nice and knowledgeable. His medical assistant and front office staff were also kind and professional. However, I was not able to get my labs done due to the impatience of their phlebotomist. Apparently my lab order was eating into her lunch break and she was quite unhappy about it and seemed to blame me. She did not get my labs and instead sent me to a draw station, which was closed, so I didn't get my full work up. This office is about an hour from my home so having to go back just for labs will be quite inconvenient and expensive as I'll need to take time off work. Anyway, hope this helps coach the phlebotomist and work on her professionalism.
I love Dr chilappa. He definitely knows what he is doing. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field. I'm excited to start my new medicine and to finally get some relief from my psoriatic arthritis.
He was thorough and took the time to make sure that I understood everything. I would highly recommend him!

I feel like he kind of RUSHED my appointment and disregarded a lot of the things I expressed were issues with my health. But he did order all labs that i feel like were needed. Maybe he’s right and im just a overthinker? He was great at explaining things though.

Dr. Chilappa didn’t listen to my issues, gaslit me with trite medical ‘advice’ that goes against the current medical standard for my condition, and completely ignored the aspects of my condition that led to me getting a referral to his office. Complete waste of my time & money.
Dr. Chilappa is the best! I've been seeing him almost two years and he has always listened to me when it comes to my care.. he has a great bedside manner and I'll continue to see him as long as I possibly can!! Thank you Dr. C. You are truly a superb MD

I went to Dr.Chilappa for fibromyalgia management.He answered a phone call from his daughter 5 minutes in and told me she was applying to law school, how is that an emergency? I thought that was unprofessional. He came off as aggressive to me a few times and has unrealistic expectations, he told me I need to have absolutely no stress in my life and that’s impossible. He also does not seem to fully understand the amount of pain fibromyalgia causes and is unable to fully empathize. I do not feel like he’s right for me and will not be continuing care with him or recommend him to anyone.
