About Me

I was born in San Diego, California, but have lived on both coasts and in the Midwest throughout my life. I joined Meritas Health Pavilion for Women in January 2021. I live in Parkville with my husband, Kevin, and our 2 children. I enjoy traveling, hiking, trying new foods and going to concerts in my free time.

Care Philosophy

My approach to women’s health is grounded in a commitment to compassionate, individualized and holistic care. I believe in empowering women by providing education, open communication and support at every stage of life. My goal is to create a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment where patients feel heard, respected and involved in decisions about their health. I am dedicated to staying informed about the latest advancements in women’s health, integrating evidence-based practices to offer the highest standard of care. I strive to foster strong, trusting relationships with patients, encouraging them to share openly about their concerns and goals. Together, we create a collaborative partnership focused on achieving optimal health and well-being. Whether guiding through pregnancy, managing the menopause transition or addressing complex health issues, I am committed to being a supportive and trusted advocate.

I saw Cassie today for my annual visit. She was fantastic! She asked questions and helped me with issues that I assumed were age related and there was nothing that could be done. I was wrong, and she explained what she could do to help. I'm honestly amazed and would most certainly recommend her. She was professional and courteous, As well as inquisitive and open.

Maybe the best medical visit I've ever had. Cassie is amazing. She is an expert in menopause, we discussed my sexual health, we talked about anything that could be bothering me - and I felt so comfortable and at ease. I have already recommended her to a friend. Women who are perimenopause or menopausal need all of the resources they can get - and there aren't many. Cassie is just incredible.

This was my 14 week check up! My 2nd OB appointment. I absolutely adore Cassandra , she was so sweet and welcoming! She explained everything, really took her time and pointed out babies body! We seen heart beating! There was no pressure to hurry and end the appointment! Also took time to listen to my worries and to give her medical advice! She made sure I was taken care of before I left! With any bleeding, pains, cramping, she listened and made me feel heard! I knew when I chose North KC for my choice of OB and hospital I made a good choice. Everyone at the clinic I’ve had experience with has been amazing! From check in, seeing doc, to checkout!

Cassandra is great! She is very patient and kind in answering all of my questions. I appreciate how knowledgeable and thorough she was in her explanations as being in the hospital can be scary. She made me feel safe, respected, and like my concerns were worth her time to talk through.

Cassie is so lovely. Anytime I’m unable to get in with Dr. Heizman, she has made me feel so at ease and is a very down to earth and compassionate person. NKC is lucky to have her.

I really appreciated my visit with Cassie. Don’t underestimate this young NP! She’s not only knowledgeable, but compassionate and professional. We talked about a few specific issues in depth. She advised to start with conservative functional approaches such as reading, therapy and different OTC products that were more age appropriate. Over the years Ive been encouraged to try tests, procedures and hormones which weren’t warranted or helpful. She made aging feel very normal and somewhat reversible with a wealth of easy and encouraging suggestions. She also carefully explained recent changes in the routine exam stemming from updated research and was very specific rather than just “all good-see you next year “ A well-woman visit that actually made me feel well and inspired.

I loved my visit with Ms. Boehning A.P.R.N! She introduced herself so warmly when she sat to talk with me in the room. She asked me questions while reviewing everything I wrote in my health history sheet. I liked that she discussed certain issues with my post menopause in details and gave me wonderful advice and wrote things down for me that she recommended! I'm from the south (Tennessee) and I felt that kind of comfort with her during my gynecology wellness annual. You made my time at your office wonderful thank you ma'am!
