Living With Diabetes program
Accredited by the American Diabetes Association, our Living with Diabetes program is led by Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (CDCES) and Registered Dietitians (RD). You can attend a group class or a one-on-one sessions with a CDCES and RD. Call our team at (816) 691-8230 with questions or to get more details about class options.
Diabetes self-management education and support (DSMES) is covered by most insurance plans. A doctor's referral is required. Once we receive the referral, we will reach out to schedule you for class. There are numerous benefits of diabetes education:

Nutrition counseling
Take advantage of nutrition counseling services, which can help manage or prevent diabetes and prediabetes. You’ll work with dietitians to set realistic goals tailored to your lifestyle, culture and beliefs to create a program just for you. Our RDs will help you:
- Develop a healthy food plan
- Dine out, shop for groceries, read food labels and plan and prepare meals
- Set nutrition and lifestyle goals
- Understand and start using your physician's prescribed diet
