NKC Health Urgent Care

Urgent care services are provided by physicians from NKC Health Primary Care Gashland. We accept walk-ins and have extended hours. We offer on-site diagnostics, such as X-rays and lab.

Common conditions treated

• Minor Illnesses: Colds, flu, fevers, sore throats, nausea and some rashes.
• Minor Injuries: Cuts that might need stitches, sprains and strains.
• Infections: Urinary tract infections (UTIs), ear infections and strep throat.
• Allergies: Seasonal allergies and mild allergic reactions.
• Other issues: Bites and stings, minor burns and eye injuries. 

When to choose urgent care

• Not an Emergency: You have a medical issue that requires quick attention but is not life-threatening.
• Your Doctor Isn't Available: You can't get an immediate appointment with your regular physician.
• After Hours Care: You need treatment for a condition during evenings, weekends or holidays. 

When to go to the emergency room

• Life-Threatening Conditions: Go to the ER for conditions that are serious, life-threatening or could result in disability.
• Major Injuries: Severe broken bones that are bent or have multiple fractures, serious head injuries or major trauma.
• Complex Needs: Conditions requiring surgery, extended recovery times or advanced imaging are usually not handled at urgent care.
