Our affiliations expand health and wellness services, provide additional options for care and connect the community with the resources they need to make informed decisions.

NorthCare Hospice & Palliative Care

NorthCare HospiceNorthCare Hospice & Palliative Care offers comprehensive hospice services for you and your loved ones wherever you're most comfortable — your home, a care facility or the NorthCare Hospice House, which is available to patients whose life-limiting illness has become complex and requires symptom management 24 hours a day. Located at NKC Health 2800, NorthCare Hospice House provides medical support. NorthCare Hospice is a subsidiary of Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care.

Midwest Transplant Network

NKC Health works with Midwest Transplant Network to facilitate organ and tissue donations. Hospital staff members connect potential donors with MTN, which educates families so they can make informed decisions. In some cases, donors have already indicated their wishes, and MTN confirms that information with the family.

Academic Affiliations

We work with high schools, colleges and universities to support students interested careers in healthcare. Through our academic affiliations, we give students access to a range of hands-on clinical experiences and instruction.

Nursing Schools

For students pursuing a nursing degree, clinical instruction and hands-on experience are invaluable. Our hospital staff provides both through our nursing school affiliations. We partner with several schools in and around Kansas City.

School of Medical Laboratory Science

The School of Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) is a 47-week clinical program in which college seniors complete their final year at NKC Health. Students learn about the instruments, procedures and clinical experiences common in a hospital laboratory. Upon program completion, students are eligible to become registered Medical Laboratory Scientists.

Northland CAPS

NKC Health partnered with the Kearney, Liberty, North Kansas City, Park Hill, Platte County and Smithville school districts to become the premier healthcare partner with the Northland CAPS (Northland Center for Advanced Professional Studies) program. The program provides high school students in the Northland with a pre-professional, innovative and entrepreneurial education that immerses them in professional environments. They complete projects and work with staff members who mentor them and ensure timely, accurate and real project results.

School-to-Career Programs
