In February, Heath Wilt, DO, cardiologist with NKC Health Heart Care, presented a Lunch & Learn, “Matters of the Heart: Understanding Cardiovascular Health and Wellness.” 

He explored how the heart works, what can disrupt its rhythm and how to keep the heart healthy. He also described common cardiovascular conditions and provided insight on diagnostic tools and procedures.

In July, Ben Fangman, MD, hematologist and oncologist with NKC Health Medical Oncology and Hematology, presented a Lunch & Learn “Early Detection Saves Lives: Lung Cancer Screening Essentials.” He explored why early detection is so important, the cancer screening process and types of treatment.
